Artist Statement: 

I chose to do a picture of an iguana I took as my subject for my etching because of the detail and interesting lines he had in his body. I think I was able to convey some realism into my iguana through the use of line and cross hatching and thin the color I used translated well. I also think my use of cross hatching for shadows and different shades of his scales added to the effect of my piece. Overall, I like how my iguana turned out but I did not enjoy the etching process.
