Artist Statement- For my Silk Screen Print, I decided to base the images on places I grew up or was "raised up" in as a child. Mountains for Colorado, Pine trees and lighthouse for North Carolina, Bridge and corn for Iowa, and the Alamo for Texas. I wanted the shirt to be personable and be meaniful to me, I also wanted to use landscapes since those are typical designs I like on t-shirts. I also liked to use horizontal lines to add a more vintage look to the piece. I orignially was going to use more colors than green but then decided to keep it to different greens to represent the reason for my childhood being diverese, which is my dad's career in the military.
